Quarantine Days (2020)
This song was written during a state-required quarantine period in the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in America. Plagued with the blues, I decided to express my woes through melodious jazzy tune and riffs. Weeks of being quarantined apart from my boyfriend and friends combined with the confinement to the suffocating walls of my bedroom led to this concoction. If you have experienced any of the trials of eternal mask-wearing, anxiety-inducing isolation, and Zoom fatigue, I hope this song will speak to you on some level. Stay safe.

"New Day" is a tune in the style of gypsy jazz that violist Tiana Moritz asked me to write for her jazz combo. The title came from a sentiment I was feeling at the time of composition. In the confusing and difficult pandemic-time season that we are navigating here in 2021, I have found it highly important to appreciate the value each day holds. This song is an expression of that from me to you.
